US raw steel rises on week, year
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 11 August, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.855 million short tons at 79.1% capability utilisation, up 1.5% from last week, when utilisation fell to 78%, and up 5% from last year, when utilisation was 75.8%.
