US raw steel rises on week, lagging 2015
US raw steel production ticked up on week but dipped on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.697 million short tons at 72.6% average capability utilisation, up 1% from last week, when capability utilisation was 71.9%, but down -1.7% from the equivalent week last year, when capability utilisation was 72.2%.
