US raw steel productions rises on week
US raw steel production rose week on week but fell year on year in the week ended 17 February, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US steel production stands at 1.751 million short tons at 75.1% capability utilisation, up 0.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 74.5%, but down -1.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 75.9%.
