US raw steel production trends up
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 3 March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production stands at 1.834 million short tons at 78.7% capability utilisation, up 2.9% from the previous week, when utilisation was 76.5%, and up 5% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 74.9%.
