US raw steel production ticks up
US raw steel production ticked up both on-week and on-year in the week ended 23 December, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production stands at 1.718 million short tons at 73.7% capability utilisation. up 1.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 72.8%. It is also up by 6.9% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 67.8%.
