US raw steel production ticks up
US raw steel production increased both on week and on year in the week ended October 27, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.898 million short tons at 81% capability utilisation, up 1.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 80%, and up 11.3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 73.2%.
