US raw steel production ticks up
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 20 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.872 million short tons at 80.4% capability utilisation, up 0.3% from the previous week, when utilisation was 80.2%, and up 1.8% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 78.4%.
