US raw steel production ticks up
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 29 December, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.899 million short tons at 81% capability utilisation up 1.6% from the previous week, when utilisation was 79.8%, and up 13.3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 71.9%.
