US raw steel production ticks up
US raw steel production increased both on-week and on-year in the week ended 28 January, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.736 million short tons at 73.3% capability utilisation, up 1.9% from the previous week, when capability utilisation was 71.8%, and up 8% from the equivalent period last year, when capability utilisation was 68.7%.
