US raw steel production slides on week
US raw steel production slipped on week but remains up significantly from last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel stands at 1.862 million short tons at 79.4% capability utilisation, down -0.9% from the previous week, when utilisation was 80.2%, but up 8.8% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 73.4%.
