US raw steel production slides on week
US raw steel production fell on week but remains up considerably on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.815 million short tons at 80.6% capability utilisation, down -0.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 81.2%, but up 3.3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 77.4%.
