US raw steel production slides on week
US raw steel production fell from last week, but it remains up from last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.749 million short tons at 75% capability utilisation in the week ended 3 June, down -0.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 75.2%, but up 0.4% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 74.5%.
