US raw steel production slides on week
US raw steel production in the week ended 10 March slipped week on week but increased relative to last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Steel production stands at 1.716 million short tons at 77.8% capability utilisation, down -1.1% from last week, when utilisation was 78.7%, but up 5.7% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 73.6%.
