US raw steel production slides on week
US raw steel production fell week on week but remains up year on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production stands at 1.725 million short tons at 72.8% average capability utilisation, down -1.3% from last week, when utilisation was 73.7%, but up 2.4% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 72.1%.
