US raw steel production slides up
US raw steel production rose both on-week and on-year in the week ended 27 March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel stands at 1.76 million short tons at 77.6% percent capability utilisation, up 0.4% from the previous week, when utilisation was 77.3%, and up 1.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 75.3%.
