US raw steel production slides again
US raw steel production slid both on-month and on-year in the week ended 21 September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.809 million short tons at 77.7% capability utilisation – down -0.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 77.8%, and down -3.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 79.6%.
