US raw steel production slides again
US raw steel production fell again both on-week and on-year in the week ended 4 April, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.534 million short tons at 68.5% capability utilisation, down -8.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 71.6%, and down 18.9% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 81.3%.
