US raw steel production slides
US raw steel production slipped both on week and on year in the week ended 20 January, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.693 million short tons at 72.6% capability utilisation, down -0.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 73.2%, and down -2.5% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 74.5%.
