US raw steel production rises on year, week
US raw steel production increased both on week and on year in the week ended 13 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.867m short tons at 80.2% capability utilisation, up 1.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 79.4%, and up 1.6% from the equivalent period last year, when utilisation was 78.4%.
