US raw steel production rises on week, year
US raw steel production increased both on-week and on-year in the week ended 15 June, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.887 million short tons at 81.1% capability utilisation – up 0.6% from the previous week, when utilisation was 80.6%, and up 4% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 77.4%.
