US raw steel production rises on week
US raw steel production fell on year but rose slightly on week in the week ended 3 September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.656 million short tons at 70.8% capability utilisation, down -3.1% from the equivalent week last year, when capability utilisation was 71.5%, but up 0.9% from last week, when capability utilisation was 70.2%.
