US raw steel production on the rise
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 19 November, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.606 million short tons at 67.7% capability utilisation, up 1.6% from the previous week, when capability utilisation was 66.6%, and up 7.1% from the equivalent week last year, when capability utilisation was 62.7%.
