US raw steel production reverses course
US raw steel production appears to have fallen on-week after several weeks of small gains, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.383 million short tons at 61.7% capability utilisation, down -2.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 63%, and down -24.9% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 79.1%.
