US raw steel production moves up
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 3 August, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.897 million short tons at 81.5% capability utilisation – up 0.7% from last week, when utilisation was 80.9%, and up 2.7% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 78.8%.
