US raw steel production moves up
US raw steel production ticked up both on week and on year in the week ended 29 April, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production stands at 1.75 million short tons at 75.1% capability utilisation, up 2% from last week, when utilisation was 73.6%, and up 3.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 72.6%.
