US raw steel production moves up
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw production stands at 1.783 million short tons at 76.5% capability utilisation, up 1.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 75.1%, and up 0.7% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 75.9%.
