US raw steel production increases on week, year
US raw steel production increased both on week and on year in the week ended 2 November, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.888 million short tons during the week with an average capability utilisation of 81.6% - up 1.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 80.7%, and up 0.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 80.5%.
