US raw steel production increases on week
US raw steel production rose on week but fell slightly on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stood at 1.877 million short tons at 80.7% capability utilisation in the week ended 28 October, up 1.4% from the previous week, when utilisation stood at 79.6%, and down -0.6% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 80.1%.
