US raw steel production increases on-week: AISI
Weekly raw steel production in the US for the week ended 17 August was 1.754 million short tons with a capacity utilisation rate of 79.0%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production increased by 1.1% week-on-week. In the week ended 10 August, raw production was 1.735m st and utilisation was 78.1%.
