US raw steel production increases
US raw steel production rose on-week but fell on-year in the week ended 12 October, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.821 million short tons at 78.7% capability utilisation, up 0.9% from the previous week, when utilisation was 78%, but down 3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 80.1%.
