US raw steel production increases
US raw steel production increased both week-on-week and year-on-year in the week ended 26 May, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.789 million short tons at 76.3% capability utilisation. That is up 0.85% from the previous week, when utilisation was at 75.7%, and up 4.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was at 73.7%.
