US raw steel production inches up
US raw steel production increased both on week and on year in the week ended 21 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.815 million short tons at 77.4% capability utilisation, up 1.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 76.1%, and up 4.7% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 74.3%.
