US raw steel production inches up
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 20 May, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.741 million short tons at 74.7% capability utilisation, up 0.8% from the previous week, when capability utilisation was 74.1%, and up 0.5% from last year, when capability utilisation was also 74.1%.
