US raw steel production inches up
US raw steel production ticked up both week on week and year on year in the week ended April 16, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.693 million short tons at 72.4% capability utilisation last week, Kallanish understands. That represents a production increase of 2.2% from the week prior, when capability utilisation was 70.8%, and a production increase of 2.7% from last year, when capability utilisation was 69.8%.…
