US raw steel production improves on-week
US raw steel production increased on-week in the week ended 24 October, though it remains down significantly on-year, Kallanish reports.
Raw steel production stands at 1.542 million short tons at 69.7% capability utilisation, up 0.5% from the previous week, when utilisation was 69.4%, but down -14.6% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 78%.
