US raw steel production grows
US raw steel production increased both on week and on year in the week ended 8 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.733 million short tons at 74.3% capability utilisation, up 0.9% from the previous week, when utilisation was 73.6%, and up 4% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 71.3%.
