US raw steel production gains on week
US raw steel production posted a small gain week on week in the week ended 22 October, but it remains down year on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.597 million short tons at 67.3% capability utilisation, up 0.4% from the previous week, when utilisation was 67%, but down -2% from last year, when utilisation was 68.1%.
