US raw steel production falls on week, year
US raw steel production fell both week on week and year on year in the week ended 2 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.737 million short tons at an average capability utilisation of 74.3%. That’s down -1.1% from the prior week, when capability utilisation was 75.1%, and down -1.2% from 2 July, 2015, when capability utilisation was 74.1%.
