US raw steel production falls on week
US raw steel production slipped on week but remains up from last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Steel production stands at 1.706 million short tons at 73.2% capability utilisation, down -0.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 73.8%, but up 7.2% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 68%.
