US raw steel production falls on week
US raw steel production ticked down on week but remained up from last year in the week ended 2 June, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.755 million short tons at 74.9% capability utilisation, down -1.9% from the previous week, when utilisation was 76.3%, but up 1.7% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 74%.
