US raw steel production falls on week
US raw steel production rose on year in the week ended 31 December but slipped on week, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.592 million short tons at 67.1% capability utilisation, up 7.2% from last year, when capability utilisation was 62.1%, but down 2.7% from last week, when capability utilisation was 69%.
