US raw steel production falls from last week
US raw steel production slipped week on week but remains up year on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production stands at 1.692 million short tons at 71.4% capability utilisation, down -1.9% from last week, when utilisation was 72.8%, but up 0.4% from the equivalent period last year, when utilisation was 72.1%.
