US raw steel production falls
US raw steel production appears to have slipped both on week and on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
In the week ended 10 June, US raw steel production stood at 1.718 million short tons at 73.7% capability utilisation. That’s down -1.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 75%, and down -2.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 75.1%.
