US raw steel production falls on week
US raw steel production fell on week but remains up on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel stands at 1.851 million short tons at 79.5% capability utilisation, down -1.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 80.5%, but up 2% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 77.4%.
