US raw steel production drops on week
US raw steel production slipped on week but remains up year on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production stands at 1.636 million short tons at 69% capability utilisation, down -3.4% from the previous week, when capability utilisation was 62.1%, but up 10.2%% from last year, when capability utilisation was 71.4%.
