US raw steel production drops on-week
US raw steel production fell on-week in the week ended 19 September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.446 million short tons during the week at 64.5% capability utilisation, down -0.9% from the week prior, when utilisation was 65.1%, and down -19.7% from the equivalent week last year, when the utilisation rate was 77.4%.
