US raw steel production drops again
US raw steel production fell both on-week and on-year in the week ended 14 March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.878 million short tons at 80.5% capability utilisation, down -1.3% from the previous week, when utilisation was 81.6%, and down -1.8% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 82.2%.
