US raw steel production creeps up
US raw steel production increased both on week and on year in the week ended 22 September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US steel production stands at 1.863 million short tons at 79.5% capability utilisation, up 0.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 79.4%, and up 8.9% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 73.45.
