US raw steel production climbs on-week
US raw steel production increased in the week ended 12 September but remains down significantly on-year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.459 million short tons at 65.1% capability utilisation, up 2.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 63.7%, but down 19% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 77.4%
