US raw steel production climbs on-week
US raw steel production inched up on-week but remains down on-year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.74 million short tons at 76.9% capability utiisation, up 2.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 75.2%, but down 5.5% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 81.5%.
